How long have you been designing that project? how much effort have you put into it? You did quite a big advance, but isn't it tiring? For me it is. I find myself tired and non-productive when I only do a single project...Of course, you will probably get results faster, but after some time you just can't do it anymore...
Even more to someone like me, that cannot focus on one single thing, and even while I'm designing a game, I start getting ideas for another one, and usually that's a problem. It took me some time to get used to this and get some production out of it, but there is still a long way to go.
The thing is, i feel that splitting efforts get me more of a creative results, as when I'm designing a mechanic to game B and realise how great this detail/thing/mechanic would be awesome or even a problem solver for game A. When I split my focus, I get a more wide view, I can get ride of a tunnel vision, and see things with a bigger picture involved, I even manage to not lose time stuck in a project, be it lack of creativity or ideas or anything else, Because as soon as i get stuck, i can just shift to another project and it will eventually give me a new light to the game I'm having problems at.
I Say that cause many people tell me to focus on a single game at a time, and I just can't :( if I do, I won't ever finish one. And i think doing this get really better results for me.
