Yesterday i found a Wip post of a game that i had seen sometime ago...It's actually a pretty good game that seens to play the same way mine does, a deck of cards in the middle that is the path and players around the table trying to finish it.
There as things i didn't like in his system, but still i kept one thing in my mind: Would it pay off letting go of the micro setting(Single deck in the middle, everybody with hands of cards), to a bit more complex setup like:
- A big deck in the middle with the current scenario. A bit Bigger with the same system, a 'difficulty' to achieve, and a bunch of tasks.
- Smaller decks for quests ranging from lvl 1-3, tasks now would be like 'do a level 2 quest', and you would flip a lvl 2 quest and try to accomplish it.
-Smaller decks For shopping and events and so on.
This would create a little bigger setup, but still have the same low-complexity high-strategic gameplay.
This game is actually going really slow, as i'm more focused on the Surviving and Breakpoint as they approach final stages. Surviving only waiting for my new sleeves to arrive so i can playtest it more.
